Garden of Delights

Kaffe Fassett was born in San Francisco in 1937. At 19 he left to paint in London, which he made his permanent home. He ventured into the world of colorful yarn on a visit to Scotland, inspired by the colors in the landscape. His first design appeared as a full page spread in Vogue Knitting magazine. It was his talent for playing with color and pattern that set Kaffes designs apart from others and gave him and international reputation.
